Personal

We have a team of expert coaches who use the ‘Vocation Identity’ process as a structure to guide you towards your outcomes. Unlike a workshop format you have the luxury of being able to focus more intensely on the parts of the process that are most valuable to you. Your coach will facilitate and feedback to you until you have achieved the specific outcomes agreed.

Our coaching is not based on any pre-structured measuring tools or instruments as we believe it is more useful to find the current truth of our subjective experience. Our coaches are highly skilled NLP Master Practitioners who have also been through our rigorous training and are then certified as P@W coaches. So all the insights and changes you achieve will be based on your real experience with your coach on the day and beyond. Our coaches will give you direct feedback about your conscious and unconscious processes and they will also be explicit about the way they help you change these structures so you can be independent in the way you manage yourself.

This style of coaching is intended for those who seriously desire fundamental change in their lives; who have the courage to face up to the truth about their personal relationship with work, and a desire to connect with themselves profoundly and explore their deepest motivations, desires and identity. It can also be really valuable to those of you who are already successful and inspired, but who want to continue to explore even deeper levels of fulfilment in your work.

How the coaching works

Once you contact us we will discuss your requirements and location. We can then select the most suitable coach who will contact you and agree arrangements for your coaching session(s). We send you a pre-coaching pack for preparing your initial thoughts. You’ll meet your coach at a mutually convenient place and time and spend the session (or sessions) working through the process with your coach providing support, challenge and feedback throughout. You will be given a Workbook to help track your own progress and also agree a support plan with your coach (either by email or telephone) for up to 3 months after your initial coaching.

You will gain many insights and have an increased awareness of what has to be uniquely true for you to be fulfilled by your work. You will access your deepest wisdom to make one of the most important decisions of your life: the perfect work, job, career or calling that truly represents who you were uniquely designed to be.

Success Stories

Jim

Jim had been unhappily making a living from being an accountant for many years. He chose to have some coaching to explore how he could be more fulfilled in his life. During a session it emerged that his real passion was his hobby of exploring leading edge mind/body techniques. He did some thorough exploration around why he didn’t do something more with this passion and realised he was afraid to take the “leap of faith” and let go of the comfort blanket of his job. He worked out that he could make a series of smaller leaps instead. First he became self employed as an accountant and worked for the same company. Then he reduced the time he worked for them and took on some accountancy work with a mind/body organisation. Over a couple of years he learned enough to set up his own business which he now runs successfully and full time. He hadn’t realised until his coaching that his family, friends and colleagues all valued him highly for the mind/body thinking and hands on work he shared with them. He discovered that when we are in the natural element of our real skills, talents and passions, then we add genuine value and if you give people something they value, they will happily pay for it.

Ruth

Ruth had been a partner in a very successful training business for some time. She sought coaching for herself when she realised that she no longer felt passionately about the future of the business and had started to feel quite depressed while her partner was fired up and wanted her to match his enthusiasm for the business plans. Ruth explored her original motivation for the business and discovered it had been absolutely right for her at the time but she no longer had the same needs and desires. She reassessed her life plans and made some big decisions. She decided to help her business partner find another partner as she gradually reduced the mutual dependency between her and the business. She kept her share of the ownership and managed herself into a part time role. She is now experimenting with her musical and writing talents, and is making plans for a new business combining these talents and her other passion, young people.

Alex

Alex had been working for his organisation for many years and in his current role for 6 years. He felt he ought to change and be promoted but despite applying for a number of opportunities he seemed to be letting himself down during interviews. Through his coaching sessions he discovered that he was subconsciously sabotaging his chances at interviews because he was confused about what he really wanted. Many of his friends and colleagues were being promoted around him and he was just as effective in the business as they were – more so in some cases! So why did he seem to lose his confidence and resolve in the interview situation? He began to explore his deeper motivations and realised that he wanted to stay in the beautiful part of the country he was living in; he wanted his children to stay at the schools they loved; and he wanted his wife to be able to stay in the job she loved too. Even more importantly, he discovered that he mostly wanted to keep the close contact and involvement he had with his family which was possible as he could do his own job with ease. Being promoted would have meant either moving his whole family and all the upheaval associated with that, or commuting weekly and missing out on the family involvement he loved so much. So, he decided to build some new areas into his life that would serve his need for learning, achievement and variety, rather than go for promotion. He created a longer term plan for his whole life and started to create opportunities to learn new skills and take on new challenges in preparation. He bought his dream home, something he never felt he could do before as he always felt on the verge of having to take a promotion which might entail moving. As a result of his new skills, he is currently looked upon as a special resource in the business and is encouraged to take on new projects and is consulted by many different parts of the business. The result is, he has shaped his job to bring the variety and learning he wanted without the need to sacrifice any of the other parts of his life. And he has a master plan he feels he is moving towards with increasing speed and enjoyment.
